The UK’s busiest driving range, Trafford Golf Centre has revealed a brand-new short game practice area following a £30,000 investment, featuring the best Huxley synthetic turf to give superb realistic results, offering golfers the very best in short game practice.
A fantastic addition for Academy pupils to improve their game between lessons, the 120 m2 all- weather area includes a True Roll Putting Green (stimping at 10.5), realistic feel chipping and pitching turf, including sloping lie area, real sand bunker, target landing greens and sloping lie mats.
Pete Styles, director of golf, at Trafford Golf Centre and Dino Falls, said: “We’re proud to be the biggest golf academy in the north west and the addition of this superb short game practice area, ensures our Academy at Trafford Golf Centre continues to get bigger and better for our customers. As we move into spring, we look forward to making the most out of the facility with our academy pupils to help them to improve their games.”
Fully floodlit for late night practice sessions throughout the year, the short game practice area is open to Academy members for practice sessions between their lessons. The area will be charged at £5 per hour off peak, £8 per hour peak times (off peak times are Monday to Friday before 5pm & before 11am on weekends).
Last year, the TraffordCity-based driving range revolutionised its driving range by installing the most advanced ball tracking technology, Toptracer to 16 bays following a £90,000 investment. The fun, tech-driven experience appeals to seasoned players, range rivals, friends, family members, and even first-time golfers.
Trafford Golf Centre, which hit 14 million balls in 2018, and Dino Falls Adventure Golf is located next to the M60 and offers a ‘We proudly serve Starbucks Café and Bar’, 57 bay golf range, nine PGA professionals teaching from the Academy and the largest American Golf retail store in the north.
